What’s your main motivator or foundation for Maverick Marketing?

As you might’ve read before, Coram Deo (meaning “before the sight of God”) is the reason behind the rest of our values and why we call ourselves Mavericks. We believe in God, specifically, the Gospel (or “Good News”) and testimony of Jesus Christ, and aim to have a culture within Maverick Marketing that gives Him the Glory for anything and everything we produce.

Faith is what gives purpose to our waking up every day. It’s how we manage the “now” and is the lens through which we look toward the future, and it is why we see others as equals and not commodities. Our beliefs are pivotal in how we approach work in every aspect!

With that being said, an instrumental practice of Christ is servanthood. You may have seen this selfless action displayed in Jesus’s washing of the disciples’ feet in the New Testament.

In today’s culture and not involving feet (thank God), servanthood means putting the needs of our clients first and foremost. We listen to their concerns, understand their goals, and do everything in our power to achieve success and build solid and long-lasting relationships based on trust, respect, and mutual benefit. The crux of our work is how we can help those around us.

Servanthood also means being proactive and taking the initiative to help others achieve more in marketing. Whether it takes form through suggesting new ideas, providing guidance and support, or going above and beyond to deliver exceptional service, servanthood is a critical value that drives our approach to marketing.

You talk about servanthood and being “people-based” instead of project-based. How does that affect the operations of the agency?

The heartbeat of Maverick Marketing comes from the community we have with our internal team members and external client relationships.

We want each person interacting with Maverick- internal and external- to feel genuinely seen and loved throughout the process, whether freelancers brought on as team members, couples consulting a home investment, or small business owners looking to enhance their brand and connect with an audience. The people we work with are not business transactions or means to produce successful results. They are true partners who inspire us.

Community means working together to achieve common goals. It means listening to each other, sharing ideas, and supporting each other in our work. By collaboratively working with our clients and team members, we can achieve more outstanding results and deliver better outcomes.

Our value of community reaches our neighbors in the surrounding areas. We want to give back to the local community and are committed to using our skills and resources to positively impact the world around us, not only the world of Indy but a global reach!

Whether supporting local charities or volunteering our time and expertise, we are responsible for giving back to the community that supports us.

How do you navigate the constant evolution of the marketing industry?

The methods of how we do “a job well done” are constantly evolving and upgrading. With the rise of new technologies (Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, Search Engine Optimization, etc.) and shifting consumer goals, we must be able to bend and adapt to stay ahead of the curve and offer knowledgeable insights and skills to our clients.

Adaptability is one of the most important values in the marketing industry. It means being open-minded and willing to try new methods or media that may make us scratch our heads at first.

We’re not afraid to experiment with different approaches to see what works best and always look for ways to improve our processes and strategies. By staying adaptable, we can ensure that we deliver the best results for our clients and stay ahead of the competition.
